10th June 8pm – 9.30pm

Mindfulness has become a bit of buzz word over the past few years. Robert will start the session getting past the hype and looking at why the research is showing such great results. Not only will we explore the facts and the misunderstandings about mindfulness, but you will get to learn some short practices for your own wellbeing. Robert will also unpack how mindfulness helps us manage our nervous system and why mindfulness in nature in particular is useful.

Sebastiana will talk about the ways we can use mindfulness, mindful communication and our own mindful presence to enhance children’s development and their ability to self-regulate, including children with adverse childhood experiences. She will introduce the developmental models that illustrate the importance of mindfulness. She will demonstrate and engage you in a variety of activities that can be safely practiced with children outdoors in and with nature, focusing on senses, sensory integration, body awareness and movement.

This ‘In the Thicket Webinar’, is a topical presentation with experts and a short Q and A session at the end.
