Update on FSA Norfolk Local Group from Louise Ambrose

The Norfolk FSA local group had their 2nd AGM on a sunny September Saturday at the beautiful Wheatfen Nature reserve (well worth a wander if you are ever holidaying in the broads! – http://www.wheatfen.org/). After a guided tour and seeing the biggest Fly Agarics I think I have ever seen, we settled down to business!  A couple of tweeks to the constitution were made and then elections of the new committee – with some cheery new faces stepping forward to steer the group affectionately known as ‘Dave’. A particularly warm welcome was made to Tarl who has stepped up to be the new chairperson for the Norfolk Group! We rounded off the day with an afternoon of skill sharing; making natural dyes, willow weaving, and playing games. A big thank you to all who came and made it such a great day!

FSA Norfolk has a few plans on its agenda – a techie working group have set sail on sorting out a new website for the group to promote itself more widely within the county; we are hijacking a stall at the local ‘Wild About Norfolk’ event this Saturday to raise awareness of Forest School to the general public; and we are planning more networking/CPD events……and of course there’s the wedding of Dave and Mave to sort out…!?!
