Dear FSA Members,

ARE YOU ON THE MAP?

Thank you for being a member of the FSA. We really do appreciate it. Together we are better able to advocate for Forest School.

Over the past few months I have been investigating how to improve the FSA membership system. Weeks of research, testing and development have resulted in the launch of our new membership system last Monday.

Amongst other changes, we have now moved over to a different payment system. You will need to set up your preferred payment method within the new system. I’m sorry for the inconvenience. However, this new system is so much more user friendly and better integrated than the old one. Not least, it should save us many hours of administration time, which translates as a reduction in costs.

What do you need to do?

  1. Visit this page on the website and request a password (use the email address associated with your FSA account)
  2. Use the password and email address to login to the website.
  3. Enter your profile information, privacy settings and any additional information.
  4. Update your membership billing (we think that the Direct Debit option is most convenient for everyone and helps keeps costs down for us)

That’s it!

Once you have logged in and entered your address you may take some small pleasure in seeing your little blue dot on the membership directory map. One of the lovely features of this new system is that you are automatically added to the map at which ever resolution you set in the privacy settings. This means that the map will be very comprehensive. It not only allows you to see who else is in your area but also contact them directly through the map (assuming that they have allowed this feature within the privacy settings).

FSA Recognised Forest School Providers – you will need to log in using the email address that is associated with this membership. You can then review the contacts listed for your organisation and ensure that they are up to date. Each contact will also be able to log into the website and access member benefits. If you use the same email address for both types of account you will be asked to choose which account when you ask for the password. The main account is the most important.

Any questions please contact Dave Brooks enquiries@forestschoolassociation.org

With best wishes,

Gareth Wyn Davies
