Job description: You will be required to take on the role of a key worker and forest school will be a big part of this position. Experience working in a forest school would be nice, however this is not essential as you will be sent on the relevant training courses. You will support our forest school leader and all of the responsibilities that this position holds including contributing to planning and managing the learning outcomes of your key children. You will build relationships with parents and work with them to ensure their children have a safe, secure and stimulating pre-school experience. This role is initially a part-time role (maximum 21 hours) however as we develop the forest school element we hope for this to increase to 30 hours.
Person specification : We are looking for an experienced, self motivated and caring practitioner with a love for the outdoors (all weather) to join our friendly team. Preferably we are looking for someone with a minimum Level 3 in childcare/early years and with a forest school level 3. However, if you only have a level 3 in childcare/early years we will pay for your level 3 forest school training and likewise, if you have a forest school level 3 without a level 3 in early years we would still like to hear from you.
