Job Description: We need a Forest School Assistant / Play worker who is a flexible, highly motivated, competent individual with strong communication skills.
You will have an interest in play and learning in the outdoor environment.
We work with children, young people and families to engage them in Forest School based activities
Person specification: Are you looking for volunteer experience in a Forest School setting?
Our ideal candidate must have:
A recent DBS/CRB check and evidence of First Aid training.
Checkable references.
It is desirable that you will have:
Experience and/or qualifications in environmental education or a forest school qualification Experience and/or qualifications in children\’s care, education and/or playwork Experience and/or qualifications in scouts, brownies, woodcraft folk or similar
You must have:
A great enthusiasm for forest education and learning Flexibility to work with a variety of different client groups Willingness to further develop their skills and expertise A demonstrable ability to share their passion for the natural environment
Any other information: We are based in Wirral, Merseyside.
Our sessions run on Saturday 10am -12pm and during term-time a second session runs in four week blocks 1pm-3pm
We hope to be running two day Forest School sessions during school holidays very soon.
For the right candidate payment may be available after an induction period.
