Job description: As Forest School Practitioner you will be responsible for running a forest school programme during school holidays for 5-8 year olds which will mean annual leave cannot be taken during these times. During other times you would be working alongside the nursery staff team to provide basic forest school activities for the pre-school nursery children. You will plan and deliver a high level of outdoor education that will enable our children to explore stimulating environments and fun experiences that will help them to achieve and complete challenging tasks. You will act as a positive role model, providing supported learning whilst developing self-awareness, self-esteem and building confidence
To be considered for this full time position you must:
- Be able to demonstrate a clear understanding of safeguarding and OFSTED guidelines
- Hold level 3 certification in Forest School Programme
- Show passion, enthusiasm and a commitment to helping children do their best, providing inspiration through exciting activities whilst promoting the Forest School and outdoor learning ethos
- Contribute to the overall work and aims of the Forest School and manage the site sustain-ably
- Have recent experience in a Forest School setting working with children of pre-school age
Person specification : Resourceful and proactive Forest School Practitioner required with a genuine passion for Forest school education and its positive effect on children. Our ideal candidate will be an energetic individual who can plan and adapt to the changing outdoor environments in which they educate and inspire the children
