Job Description: Kelvin Grove Primary School are looking to enhance its established Forest School and outdoor learning provision.
We are looking for a self-employed Forest School Leader to deliver between four and six Forest School sessions per week, working in partnership with class teachers and teaching assistants in our on-site Forest School area. We are also exploring ways to increase the use of our community fruit, vegetable and flower garden and are looking for someone to run gardening sessions with smaller groups of children with additional learning needs.
Person Specification: Level 3 Forest School Leader Qualification Extensive experience (3 years minimum) of working with children aged 5 – 11 (Primary School), and children with additional needs Experience of running long-term Forest School projects A passion for outdoor learning, including some knowledge and experience of gardening An ability to work as part of a team An understanding of the pressures and challenges of working in a large, city primary school.
Any Other Information: You will be required to hold an Outdoor First Aid Certificate and to undergo Enhanced DBS checks as part of normal school policy.
