Job description: Our primary school is lucky enough to teach forest school full time. We have two forest schools and two leaders on site to be able to deliver to year R-year 5. We are looking for volunteers to assist with sessions which are Monday-Friday AM and PM.
Maybe you are an assistant and looking for experience with a group and or looking for a group to complete further forest school qualifications with. Perhaps you need more experience with children to support another qualification.
Your role will be to assist the forest school leader in ensuring the safety and holistic development of all children, preparing hot drink and snacks, encouraging children, assisting with task preparation.
- Confidentiality, safeguarding and a professional attitude are essential
- We will put you through a DBS check before your role commences.
Person specification: You will need to be committed to volunteering with us, whether that\’s once a week or more.
A great understanding of the ethos of forest school is essential, qualifications and experience are not essential but desirable.
There may be scope, if you become a long term volunteer to out you through the assistant level forest school qualification course.
Any other information: I work in the office on Wednesdays and can only return emails on this day.
