Job description: As a Little Forest Folk Nursery Manager , you’ll be tasked with providing a high standard of physical, emotional, social and intellectual care for the children aged 2-5 years, in our beautiful outdoor setting. You’ll work with your team to create an enabling environment where children can develop and learn through play. You’ll use your existing skills, experience and passion for outdoor education to deliver a fantastic experience for our children, promote our ethos and help to make Little Forest Folk the best it can be.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of level 3 in early years childcare is required
- 2 years post qualification experience
- Experience in managing teams
- Experience in forest schools or outdoor education (desirable)
Person specification : Our ideal leader will have not only relevant qualifications but a great passion for nature play and will be excited at the prospect of spending time engaged with children outdoors. We want managers who love children and want to spend some time in the forest with them. Although our managers need to be supernumerary and highly organised , we believe you can more effectively lead and inspire your team to constantly provide the best experience for our children through spending time together playing with the children. We are looking for motivated and dynamic managers, who can lead a team of practitioners and help them to grow as educators. This key role will help to shape the future of Little Forest Folk.

Little Forest Folk are an exciting and forward thinking organisation offering a new type of childcare for families in London. We care for and educate children aged from 2 to 5, following the core Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum, incorporating learning in an outdoor environment where free play, fresh air, exposure to the natural world and physical activity are an integral part of learning.
Our aim is to address the increasing disconnect between children and nature by opening a series of outdoor children’s nurseries across the capital and beyond.
