Forest School Practitioner Level 3

Job description: A level 3 Forest School Leader is required to work in a summer school in La Garriga, Barcelona, Spain from Monday 29th June up to and including Friday 24th July. You will work alongside another level 3 practitioner to co-ordinate the programme during the first two weeks and then lead the programme for the second two weeks. Forest school sessions run from 9 am – 1pm with a rota system from 8am – 3.30pm, this is shared equally amongst the 6 staff, you will be expected to do 3 weeks of extra duty e.g 2 weeks of 8am – 1pm and 1 week of 9am – 3.30pm (details of this can be discussed during interviews).
Person specification:
- Applicant should be a qualified Level 3 Forest School Practitioner holding a valid outdoor first aid certificate.
- Be willing to work as part of an international team.
- Be honest, reliable and punctual.
- Hold the safety of their team and children with the upmost importance.
- The practitioner should be interested in working with children from different cultures and have practical experience of running forest school sessions with children from ages 6-12 years.
- We are looking to appoint a person who is pro-active with intiative. We are a small dedicated team who support each other throughout decision making and take responsibility for the well being of all members of staff. We would like someone who shares the same attributes and who would contribute with similar values by joining us this summer.
