Thank you to the 1,171 educators and woodland owners who took part in the public online survey calledĀ Bringing Children Closer to Nature.

The survey was run in late 2018 and promoted to practitioners to gather much-needed evidence concerning barriers and opportunities to Forest School practice and outdoor learning in wooded areas and forests and to quantify any issues regarding the establishment and sustaining of Forest Schools.

The national survey was undertaken as a key evidence-gathering activity to support and guide the activities of theĀ Forest Schools for All project, an initiative between Sylva Foundation, The Ernest Cook Trust (funder), and The Forest School Association (partner). We hope this report can be used by individuals and organisations who aim to bring all children closer to nature in the UK.
