The FSA directors have agreed that Jon Cree should be the first person awarded an ‘Honorary Membership’ of the FSA.
This is on the basis of the extraordinary voluntary service that Jon has given to the FSA and the effort made on our behalf. Jon was the first Chair of the FSA and he was instrumental in establishing the organisation. He helped us to navigate some very tricky waters and he did so with huge sensitivity and respect for the Forest School community.
The directors recognise that Jon continues to be a wonderful advocate for Forest School and the FSA in particular. He will make an excellent Ambassador for the FSA.
Jon has accepted this position. This does not affect his position as a director in the FSA because an honorary member has all the rights and privileges of an individual member.
I am new to FSA and attended the zoom meeting last week. I have never heard or seen Jon before and my thoughts were that he was an ambassador. Well done.
Thanks Claire…finding this all a bit overwhelming and need to come to terms with just accepting it. This is down to the many folk – human and non human, I have had the privilege of connecitng with on my journey.
