Please tell us a bit about yourself (max 500 words), including;

  • Why you are standing for FSA directorship?

Having been a founding director/trustee of the FSA I wish to continue supporting the charity by re-standing.

  • Your Forest School experience (and this is not necessarily a pre requisite but you will need to have some basic working knowledge of Forest School)

I first came to FS in 2003 when I undertook my level 3 practitioner training with Gordon Woodall, FSTC. I have run long term FS programmes with a variety of ages and situations, including across a primary school, an option with secondary school and as an alternative education provision with Looked After Children. Since 2007 I have also run Forest School training under the umbrella of FSTC.

  • How you personally can benefit the FSA.

I have been involved since the beginning, before the FSA was created so have a good understanding of how it came to be and the history of FS within the UK. I have seen how the FS ethos can help people transform their lives and wish to actively promote this ethos.

  • Please declare any special interests or affiliations with other organisations in the Forest School sector including commercial, public sector or voluntary.
