The woodland trust along with 48 other conservation and cultural organisations launched today, 13th January 2016, the campaign for a new charter for trees in 2017.  As FS practitioners we all stand up for trees and woods, so having the clarion call in the form of a Charter continuing on from the Charter of the Forest signed by Henry III 800 years ago in 1217, is a modern day call to recognise how important trees and woods are for our health, well-being, education and economy.  So give it your own support and share your story – see https://treecharter.uk/
