FOREST SCHOOL FOR ALL! – 9th MAY 2014 and/or 10th May 2014 (event codes 40420C or 40421C)

The delegate fee is £135 per person to attend or £50 per day – a valid student ID is required Lunch and refreshments throughout the day will be provided.

The 2014 event will take place at Telford Hotel and Golf Resort Q Hotels

It’s the similar to this year’s conference we have two days on offer, (come to both or just one) with different keynote speakers and a choice of workshops on each day.  The range of workshops will be both inside and out, (it will be clear on the booking form which is indoors/outdoors) suitable for all levels of Forest School Practitioners – from those wanting to find out more to those seasoned Forest School professionals.

Keynote speaker – Friday 9th May – Sara Knight – Senior Lecturer in Education at Anglia Ruskin University, Lecturer in early year’s education, environmental education and Forest School, author of  Forest School for All, What is Forest School? A discussion of the development of Forest School in the UK, Valuing Outdoor Spaces; different models of outdoor learning in the early years, The Pedagogy of Forest School in the UK, The International Journal for Cross-Disciplinary Subjects in Education, Vol 2, Issue 4 to name but a few.

Keynote speaker – Saturday 10th May – Chris Campion is deputy head of Cruckton Hall School, a specialist school for boys on the Autistic spectrum.  Chris has over 10 years of Forest School experience and heads up a team of Forest School leaders at the school.  He has established a day dedicated for Forest School in the school timetable, which different groups access throughout the year.  This provides the pupils with an opportunity to work together to develop their emotional literacy and reduce anxieties with time away from school in the woodland through Forest School.  Chris is a passionate believer in Forest School and the lasting positive impact it has on the lives of those he works with.

Participants will:

–              listen to a current keynote speaker(s)

–              attend two workshops (one am, one pm on each day)

–              have opportunities to share practice and network with those with a shared interest

–              find out about recent Forest School Developments

Workshop details will be available during the Spring Term 2014 and emailed to those who have booked a place to return choices.
