Job description: A new Kindergarten is being established, working from Itchen Valley Country Park. This post will:
• Lead the delivery of Forest School Kindergarten at Itchen Valley Country Park
• Plan activities suitable for Early Years within the requirements of the National Curriculum, whilst following the Forest School ethos
• Supervise children, volunteers and kindergarten assistants within Forest School Kindergarten sessions
• Liaise with parents of participating children
• Undertake various admin duties including maintaining accurate records, taking bookings and ensuring fees are paid
Person specification : Applicants must have a good general education. GCSE or equivalent in maths and English is essential, as is a Level 3 qualification in Childcare or Early Years. A Forest School Level 3 qualification is desirable and candidates must be prepared to work towards this if they do not already hold it.
Previous paid or voluntary experience of leading Forest School activities and/or teaching is essential, as are good verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
