YCT is a charity that provides counselling and a range of other therapeutic support services to children and young people across Essex, Hertfordshire and North London. YCT is currently looking for a talented qualified freelance Level 3 Forest School Leader to join our therapeutic organisation and to lead Forest Schools in a variety of locations including primary, secondary and alternative school settings. As part of this role you will be required to support children and young people with forest school activities ensuring safe working practices are adhered to in a relaxed environment.
Person specification: We welcome applicants who:
- Have a keen interest and experience of leading forest school lessons within a variety of locations including primary, secondary and alternative school settings
- Enjoy working with children and young people
- Are reliable, prompt, helpful and supportive
- Are professional and able to adhere to YCT’s Code of Conduct and Terms of Reference
- Is able to work on their own initiative as well as being part of a positive and committed team of therapeutic practitioners
We require all contracted Forest School Leaders to have:
- A current DBS check (less than 3 years old)
- Public liability insurance to £5m
- A Level 3 Forest School Leader qualification including a current (less than 3 years) outdoor first aid certificate (min 16 hours).
